Étienne Ollion is a political sociologist working as a research director at the Centre national de la recherche scientifique (CNRS – CREST) in France and a Professor of sociology (part time) at l’Ecole polytechnique. He will present his book The Candidates, on the professionalization of politics and its ups and downs in France. Jon Levy, a Historian at Sciences Po in France will be a discussant.
