Please join us for the 5th Edition of the UChicago Champs-Elysées Film Festival! Each year, the University of Chicago Department of Romance Languages and Literatures hosts a series of film events brought to us by the Champs-Elysées Film Festival. This year, its main event, the CEFF Short Film Festival will take place on Wednesday, November 8, starting at 7:00 pm, at the Logan Center Performance Hall. US premiered films by the most promising French directors will be shown and attendees will vote for Best Film. This event is free and open to the public, and registration is requested. Based in Paris, Champs-Élysées Film Festival is a major international film festival where the best of French and American cinema is featured every year. Dedicated to the discovery of new talents, the festival aims to act as a bridge between French and American filmmaking and as a platform for young creation as well as independent cinema and music. Founded in 2012 by producer, distributor and movie theatre owner Sophie Dulac, the festival gathers thousands of spectators and industry professionals on the Champs-Élysées each year to celebrate the heart of of contemporary film creation and to showcase bold, ambitious and unique movies.
